A World Peace Icon and Member of the United Nations Economic and Social Council (UNESCO) in Nigeria, Dr Olumuyiwa Babalola has lauded the initiative of Yoruba Creative Legends Awards (YCLA) which he termed as a development in all Yoruba speaking states and its environs.
The Ekiti indigene disclosed this statement during the World Press Conference of YCLA at the palace of Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Saliu Aremu Adetunji.
He further said that the gesture, that is, recognising people to be awarded is part of humanity. Legend awards are humanity awards which are special awards of merit dedicated or given to the deserved because of credibility bestowed by their nominations, it is also a society award because of their outstanding qualities and performance in different areas.
He also used the occasion to pray for the eternal rest of the departed in Yoruba land and Nigeria at large through Covid19 or in one way or the other like the former Governor of Oyo State, Senator Abiola Ajimobi, Pa Akindele etc.
Dr Olumuyiwa Babalola who is also an humanitarian and founder of Globastorm Safety Foundation Worldwide commended the initiative of Chief Akin Williams who is the coordinator and other management for the actualization and for the brilliant achievement in Yoruba land.
He implored all, most especially, the great lovers of Yoruba progress to rally support for the initiative.”He said”
