At 10 people have been burnt to death and properties worth 71 million destroyed in series of fire incidents in Kano, Northwest Nigeria in March 2024.
This was disclosed by the Kano State Fire Service, which also said it had saved 12 people and properties worth N130 million from 78 fire incidents.
The Public Relations Officer of the Service, Alhaji Saminu Abdullahi, disclosed this to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Wednesday in Kano.
Abdullahi also said that 10 persons died, while property worth N71 million were destroyed by inferno during the period.
“The service responded to 27 rescue calls and 11 false alarms from residents of the state,” he said.
He advised the general public to handle fire with care.
