- Today, Governor Umaru Bago performed the groundbreaking ceremony for the Minna-Bida Road.
- The Governor announced that the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB), the Abu Dhabi Fund (AFDB), and the Niger State government would fund the project.
- The Governor also stated that the funds for the project are 100% ready.
- Furthermore, he mentioned that the project has side benefits, including three international markets: Kakakpangi, Kataregi, and Garatu. Communities along the road will also benefit from schools and hospitals as part of the project.
- the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Alh, Mohammed Idris Malagi, represented President Ahmed Bola Tinubu.
- The National Party Chairman of APC, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, attended the occasion. The state party chairman of APC and all the executives were also in attendance.
- Also in attendance were Senator Mohd Sani Musa, representing the Niger East senatorial district, Senator Peter Ndalikali, representing the Niger South senatorial district, and all members of the House of Representatives from Niger State.
- The Speaker of the Niger State House of Assembly, Barr Abdulmalik Sarkin Daji, and all the state House of Assembly members were also present.
- The Secretary to the State Government, Head of Service, Chief of Staff, all the state executive council members, all special advisers, and a few heads of agencies were also present.
- His Royal Highness, the Etsu Nupe, Alh. Dr. Yahaya Abubakar, His Royal Highness, the Emir of Kagara, Alh. Ahmed Gunna Attahiru II and senior members of the society graced the occasion as well.
