Senator Babafemi Ojudu has stated that in 2016, when he was appointed Special Adviser to former Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, he went to the office of Babachir Lawal, who was the SGF at the time, to greet him.
In an interview with Channels Television, Ojudu said that when he sat down in Lawal’s office, Lawal immediately told him to get up from the chair.
Ojudu said Lawal told him that although they were friends, he couldn’t just walk into his office and sit down. He said he got up, walked out of the office, and never went back to see Lawal again
In Ojudu’s words: “When I was appointed Special Adviser I went to his office to go and report to him. And having known him for years, I sat down in front of him and he said ‘Get up, who do you think you are? We are friends but I am now your boss, you can’t come to my office and sit down.’ I walked out of his office and I never went back to him again”
