“The last time we came to launch SWAGA in Ekiti, we were like strangers being hounded but today we have seen the governor of the state here seated and the deputy governor here seated, and the speaker.
“We salute you our great governor. People use so many adjectives to describe the governor, they say he is amiable, Omoluabi. I concur with all of them but I say he is extraordinary. The reason why I said that is I don’t know how he has been able to do it to bring every one of us together in Ekiti State. Not all of his predecessors were able to achieve including the man that I admire, who is my personal friend, Engr. Segun Oni.
“I have learnt from this our governor. He has been able to bring the whole state together. It is a great achievement.
“We are doing the SWAGA 2.0 summit to prepare us for the re-election of Mr President but before that is the governor’s re-election. Between now and June 20, each and everyone in SWAGA, it’s BAO for the second term because it is a precursor to the re-election of the President . When he wins that election handsomely, we all move together to deliver Ekiti State to Mr. President.
“We know the governor will win this election, that’s not a doubt. It is a done deal but we are talking about the number of votes. We have set the target of 500,000, but I am saying we will surpass it. The governor will win over 500,000 votes in all the wards and polling units. It is doable and we are going to do it.
“Ekiti has changed and since 1999, we were always in high tension and I had my fair share of it but now we are at peace with each other and it is all due to this governor. He has done exceptionally well.
“I deliberately launched SWAGA 2.0 so that you can be part of the campaign for the governor. After June 20, the slogan will switch to President Tinubu for a second term. Between now and June 20, the only message is BAO for the second term.
“When I was pro chancellor of EKSU, the complaint was always about subvention but today they are telling me they are enjoying the best of time. We are going to fight for his re-election in a landslide. Now it’s time to go back to work and spread the gospel for the second term. I want people to feel your presence in local governments and wards.”
