The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), has arrested the former Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Nsima Ekere.
Ekere, according to sources in the anti-graft agency, was arrested on Wednesday, over alleged diversion of funds to the tune of N47 billion through registered contractors of the agency.
Although, details of the alleged fraud has not been made public, but Spokesperson of the EFCC, Wilson Uwajaren, confirmed the development.
His arrest is coming barely 24 hours after former Reps Speaker, Patricia Etteh was picked up by the Commission over alleged contract fraud.
