
Hon. Biodun Omoleye, a member of the Federal House of Representatives representing Ekiti Central Federal Constituency II (Ijero, Ekiti West, and Efon), has commiserated with the residents of Ijero-Ekiti following the devastating rainstorm that struck the community on the evening of Wednesday, February 11. He described the incident as a sad development.
In a press release made available to journalists in Ado-Ekiti, Hon. Omoleye expressed his sympathy to the traditional ruler of the community, HRM Oba Dr. Joseph Adebayo Adewole, the Owa Ajero of Ijero-Ekiti, as well as to the victims affected by the disaster. He assured them of prompt federal intervention.
Hon. Omoleye stated that, in the interim, he would personally visit and assess the affected areas of the town. He also announced an immediate personal donation of one million naira to support the community while efforts are intensified to secure urgent federal assistance.
Additionally, he pledged to support the ongoing Owa Ajero Palace Commissioning Project scheduled for Monday, February 23, 2026.
