
Abejide commends Gov. Fayemi for appointing bureaucrats
Governor Kayode Fayemi has been commended for appointing bureaucrats
to run the affairs of the Ekiti State Local Government Service
Commission (EKLGSC).
The Chairman of the Commission, Mr. Samuel Abejide gave the
commendation during the familiarization of the commission’s board
members to Emure, Ise/Orun and Ikere Local Government Areas.
Mr. Abejide said that the Local Government Service Commission in
Ekiti is very lucky that Governor Kayode Fayemi in his wisdom
painstakingly appointed seasoned administrators to manage it and take
the establishment to the next level of development.
He explained that the appointment of seasoned local government
practitioners to run the affairs of the commission would enable the
government reclaim the much desired lost glory and restore values in
the service of the 16 local government areas.
The Chairman who urged the staff in the three local government areas
to shun lateness to work and be more committed to duties also charged
them to join hands with the commission to move local government
councils to an enviable status.
Also the Permanent Secretary in the Commission, Mr. Mayowa Oyedeji
implored the staff to cooperate with the commission to fish out ghost
workers in the councils.
The Permanent Secretary who said that the state government places
high premium on the welfare of the Local government staff therefore
urged them to reciprocate the kind gesture by supporting the state
government in its programs and policies for effective service delivery
at the grassroots.
Mr. Ogundeji who instructed the Directors in the local government
areas to ensure proper monitoring of their subordinates in order to
return the local government service to its old good days stressed that
the Directors would henceforth be responsible for the actions and
in-actions of their subordinates.
While responding on behalf of their staff, the Coordinating Directors
for Emure, Ise/Orun and Ikere, Mr. Femi Adesoba, Elder Segun
Oladunjoye and Mr. Foluso Akinwumi respectively promised that their
staff would support of the administration of Governor Kayode Fayemi in
restoring Ekiti Values.

of Special Duty, Comrade Segun Onaade, Budget, Research and
Statistics, Comrade Adebisi Dada, Appointment & Posting, Barr. Dele
Oloje, Establishment and Management, Alhaja Mariam Ogunlade, General
Administration, Hon. Wole Olujobi and Environmental and Health
Services, Princess Bunmi Agunbiade Omosola.
