Three traditional rulers from Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State have been confirmed dead in an auto crash in the state on Friday. Justice Olubusola Okunuga of the Lagos Special Offences Court in Ikeja has remanded Dr Muhammad Lamido at the Kirikiri Medium Correctional Centre over alleged N105 million fraud. Mr Lamido, who is the Group Managing Director for Aliqea Group UAE, was arraigned in court by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). EFCC’s prosecution counsel, R.A. Abdulrasheed, had arraigned the defendant and his company, Aliqea Group UAE, on a four-count charge of conspiracy to obtain by false pretence and money laundering. Officials of the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) with operatives of security personnel made the discovery Thursday afternoon in Mabushi, just opposite Mobil filling station on Ahmadu Bello way.
