Think Yoruba First (TYF) announces the start of the preparations for the 2nd TYF conference which will be held as a hybrid event (Online and In Person) in London, United Kingdom on Saturday 1st June 2024.
Following the success of the 2023 inaugural Conference, the theme for 2024 is “Yorubaland in 200 Years: Envisioning the Future” and to attracts papers that address the theme’s relevance to Yoruba worldwide, the Conference provides a great opportunity for all individuals, academics, and historians to add to the discussions.
Conference Themes for 2023 “Yorubaland in 200 Years: Envisioning the Future”
We now invite abstract submissions (500 words maximum) including your name, position and organisation (if applicable) for the 2024 Conference and emphasis will be placed on below topics of interests:
· Demographic changes in Yorubaland: Gentrification, Rural Urban Migration, internal Migration
· Economic Reality of Yorubaland today
· Yoruba Philosophy as a moral compass for the future of Yorubaland
· Education in Yorubaland today: (Yoruba Language and its future)

· Yoruba Culture & Traditions and Future – Is Omoluabi compatible with Yoruba Challenges of Today?
· Religious Tolerance in Yorubaland
· Yoruba beyond the borders and Transatlantic
· Sustainable alternate structure for Nigeria
· Role of women in building the youths for the future of Yorubaland
