
The Chairman, House of Representatives Committee on Federal Road Maintenance Agency FERMA, Hon. Femi Bamisile has extended his philantropic gestures to the needy around his Residence at Lekki in Lagos State.
The Lawmaker doled out millions of naira and food items to the Residents in the area to support them during this trying time of Coronavirus pandemic ravaging the world which had led to the collapse of many businesses in the World.
Hon. Bamisile had earlier distributed food items worth millions of Naira to the People of his Counstituency, the development that had prompted other Politicians and well-meaning Individuals to join the trail in Ekiti State.
On his way to Lagos on Sunday, the federal Lawmaker who represents Ekiti South federal Constituency II, also visited Ikoro, Ijero and Aramoko Ekiti in Ekiti Central Senatorial district where he distributed food items worth millions of naira to the People in the area to cushion the effects of the COVID-19 lockdown in the State.
Speaking against the backdrop of insinuation of his 2022 governorship ambition in Ekiti State in some quarters, Hon. Bamisile noted that, his act of giving back to the Society is beyond any political ambition but rather an act of showing appreciation to God.
Hon. Bamisile told Journalists that, he took up the responsibility of assisting the Poor in the Society irrespective of political or religion inclinations without any political patronage or gain attached to it.
According to him, peaceful co-existence in the Society can only be guaranteed when well-meaning Individuals are willing and determined to assist the poor masses around them.
He however called on well-to-do Individuals in the Country to continue to come to the aid of the less- privilege in the Society especially during the on-going lockdown and Stay-at-home declared by the government as part of efforts to fight against the Coronavirus pandemic.
