COMMUNIQUE
At a meeting held on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, which brought together the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ikole Local Government Area, a unanimous decision was reached regarding the purported BAO Walk organized by Congressman Bimbo Daramola.
The leadership, representing all strata of the party, firmly rejects the organization and execution of the aforementioned walk. It is noteworthy that the organizer did not deem it necessary to consult with the leadership of the party before embarking on this initiative, which appears more self-serving than aligned with our collective goals. As such, it was collectively agreed that no APC member within Ikole LG shall participate in this event. Our commitment to the party’s unity and our shared objectives is paramount, and we will not allow any external initiatives to disrupt our well-structured plans.
Furthermore, it was resolved that at the appropriate time, the party structure in Ikole LG will unveil modalities and procedures to effectively mobilize support for the reelection of our esteemed Governor, His Excellency Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji. We are a party that believes in established procedures, and we will adhere to them diligently. We do not require external guidance to formulate and carry out our programs; our track record speaks for itself.
Ikole LG has consistently delivered, and we are determined to do so again. We stand united in our mission and will proceed with our plans to ensure the success of Governor Oyebanji’s reelection campaign.This communiqué is hereby signed by the undersigned representatives of the APC in Ikole LG.
