DEJI AJAYI HAS PENCHANT FOR EXCELLENCE – Ondo Head of Service
Ekiti State Head of Service, Mr Ayodeji Ajayi has been described as a man of proven integrity, dedication and one who has uncommon penchant for excellence in his duties.
Ondo State Head of Service, Barr ‘Toyin Akinkuotu stated this when he led the old Ondo State 1988 set of colleagues of both Heads of Service to Ekiti State to felicitate with Mr Ajayi on his appointment as Ekiti State Head of Service.
Akinkuotu who noted that the new Head of Service had always shown leadership skills right from his youthful days described him as a round peg in a round hole.
He submitted that ‘God has a way of rewarding hard work and dedication to duties, hence, the elevation of Ayodeji Ajayi to his current position. He has got those traits as a young officer right from old Ondo State’.
Responding, Ekiti Head of Service who went down memory lane recollected how 13 of them were recruited into the old Ondo State Civil Service and how they had all excelled owing to dedication to duty and love for one another.
He particularly ascribed his promotion to uncommon favour from God and support of his colleagues over the years, noting that members of the ‘1988’ set were always interested in the progress of one another.
Ajayi admonished young civil servants to take a queue from the set by placing dedication and hard work above material gains, stressing that God has a way of recompensing the dutiful and honest ones.
The two Heads of Service and some Permanent Secretaries including that of Ekiti Ministry of Finance, Mr Sunday Adebayo, Ondo State Intergovernmental Affairs, Mrs Eyitope Ojolo; Ondo Deputy Governor’s Office, Mrs Adesola Alabi and others form members of the 1988 Old Ondo State Civil Servants.
