
Ekiti State Signage and Advertisement Agency (EKSAA) has reiterated existing ban on unauthorized pasting of posters on public and private structures in the state, warning that violators will face severe sanctions.The EKSAA Management, in a statement on Friday, said it would no longer tolerate unauthorized pasting of posters line with State Structure for Signage and Advertisement Agency Law 2007.According to the management, pasting or displaying posters on buildings, walls, highways, or any outdoor surface by religious, institutional and political bodies without prior approval from the agency, would warrant penalties.
“This is to inform political parties, churches, schools, printers, advertisers, marketers, and producers that henceforth, no person or entity should paste or display any poster on public or private structures without permission from the agency,” the management stated.The agency emphasized that the policy is geared towards curbing defacement of public spaces and ensuring a well-organized outdoor environment.The EKSAA management urged stakeholders and the general public to adhere strictly to the directives.
