
As Muslims in Ekiti state joined the rest faithfuls in the world to celebrate this year Eid-El-Kabir, the Deputy Speaker of Ekiti state House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Hakeem Jamiu has called on muslim faithfuls to ensure that the spirit of generosity which is the main religious significance of Eid-Eid-Kabir is applied in their daily lives.
The Deputy Speaker in a good will message he personally signed and make available to newsmen in Ado Ekiti said it was not enough for Muslim faithfuls to imbibe the spirit of generosity during the festive period only to abandon such virtue afterwards.
Hon. Hakeem Jamiu who is representing Irepodun/Ifelodun Constituency -2 at the Ekiti State House of Assembly wants the good people of his constituency especially the Muslims to live by the lessons of the Eid-El-Kabir stressing that this would ensure that the benefits and blessings from Almighty Allah would not only be fully realized but remain permanent in their lives in order to fully and truly promote peaceful co-existence in the society.
The Deputy Speaker further called on the good people of Ekiti state to remain resolute and continue praying for the unity of the nation saying only Prayers and Divine intervention can save the Nation from the current challenges of insecurity, bad leadership and wanton disintegration.
He called on all the residents of the state to re-dedicate themselves in all ramifications and inculcate the spirit of oneness to be in peace and harmony with their neighbours.
The lawmakers congratulates Muslims and enjoined them to continued praying for the state, the Nation and her leaders to be endowed with wisdom that would make Nigeria attain its lost glory in the comity of Nations around the world.
