Ekiti State Head of Service (HOS), Mr. Ayodeji Ajayi has expressed deep satisfaction with the cooperation and conduct of Ekiti State teachers on the recently concluded staff verification exercise that was conducted by the Teaching Service Commission in the public
secondary schools.
He noted that contrary to rumours making the round on a purported planned retirement of teachers as a result of the exercise, it was designed to verify staff status to enable government recruit
additional teachers before the September, 2019 resumption date for the new academic session.
The Head of Service further stated that the exercise will help to correct lopsidedness and irregularities in the distribution of teachers noted in the system to engender the welfare of both active staff and retirees of the Teaching Service Commission.
He urged all academic and non academic staff in the sector to continue to put in their best in returns for the timely payment of salary.
