Ekiti State Head of Service, Mr. Ayodeji Ajayi has described the
outgoing Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Education, Mr. Alfred
Ologuntoye as an astute administrator, a dedicated leader and a
selfless public servant.
Speaking at a prayer programme organised in honour of Mr. Ologuntoye,
the Head of Service recalled various contributions of the outgoing
Permanent Secretary to the State Civil Service before he was relieved
of his job by the last administration.
He expressed appreciation to God for giving Ologuntoye the opportunity
to return to the civil service, noting that his wealth of experience
will be of great value to the service even in retirement.
Ajayi charged public servants to take a clue from Ologuntoye’s
resilience, dedication, selflessness and team spirit, saying the
workforce should be more united and dedicated.
Speaking earlier, the Commissioner for Education, Science and
Technology, Evang Foluso Daramola commended Ologuntoye for his
impeccable character and enviable attitude to work, describing him as
a very cerebral and cool headed administrator.
In his response, Ologuntoye said he was feeling fulfilled as he was
bowing out voluntarily, having started well and ending well. He
described his trying period as one with mixed feelings as it exposed
him to new lessons in life.
He advised young officers to be dedicated to duty, be contented and be
loyal to the government, noting that time of rewards will come.
Mr Alfred Ologuntoye will be retiring from the Ekiti State Civil
Service in a couple of days.
