Ekiti IRS boss reassures of improved IGR
The Chairman of Ekiti State Internal Revenue Service (IRS), Mr.
Muyiwa Ogunmilade has assured members of staff of the organization,
together with other related stakeholders that he would do all within
his reach to improve the current revenue base of the state.
The new Ekiti Revenue Boss gave this assurance when he officially
resumed office as the new helmsman of the State IRS in Ado-Ekiti.
Mr. Ogunmilade, who was the Director- General of the State
Signage Agency between 2011 and 2013, said his appointment to lead the
board was consequent upon his role as an active key player in the
improved Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) drive of Ogun State as the
Head of Tax Audit in IRS in the state.
Mr. Ogunmilade promised to introduce a lot of innovations that would
turn around the fortune of the state, adding that staff and other
stakeholders would be motivated to perform at their best.
The chairman said he was willing to welcome innovative ideas and
suggestions that would lift the state to its next level through
improved revenue generation.
In his remarks, the Managing Director, RBS Consultants, which is the
consultancy firm engaged to handle the revenue generation of the
state, Mr. Isola Akingbade while welcoming the new chairman, urged him
to have a direct working relationship with the governor for required
governmental support.
Mr Akingbade, who described the chairman as a brilliant, hardworking
and committed personality assured that he would enjoy a robust working
relationship with the staff, having enjoyed a smooth and cordial
working relationship with them as the chairman between 2011 and 2014.
In his welcome address, the Executive Secretary of the State Internal
Revenue Service, Mr. Benjamin Adebiyi, congratulated Mr. Ogunmilade on
his appointment with the assurance that he would enjoy good working
relationship with the staff.
