Ekiti Renewal Agenda is a platform parading a set of Distinguished Ekiti icons, scholars, eminent personalities, traditional rulers, technocrats, public officers, Politicians, community and youth leaders (above 45 years of age).
We stand together to advance the cause of our people for good governance and transformation of Ekiti State as the leading light in the comity of Yoruba, Nigerian and black and African nations.
We identify with the People and Government of Ekiti State on the unfortunate incident of the recent kidnapping of one of the eminent Ekiti sons – Commissioner for Agriculture – Hon. Folorunso Olabode in the line of duty.
We pray wholeheartedly for his safe return. Regardless of any references made in our personal opinion on issues of politics, governance and policies, we shall not play politics or rhetoric with issues of kidnapping and any invasion of Ekiti by criminal elements. Life is precious and sacrosanct.
We pray for the safe return of our brother and committed public officer. We plead with the State Government, Amotekun Security Outfit and other law enforcement agencies to play their parts expeditiously for his safety in their course of negotiations and tracking down the assailants.
We pray for end to kidnapping and all forms of criminal invasion in Ekiti that has raised much concern among our people and the society in general since Ekiti is not known for such acts in the past.
We encourage those in authority to work with our traditional rulers and local government officials as well as relevant farmers and foresters to review and map out Ekiti landscape so as to pinpoint areas of security challenges and work towards combing those areas to route out criminal elements.
Ekiti must be free of all forms of criminal tendencies and loss of moral values with its attendant effects on the security of lives and property.
