
EKITI STATE GOVERNMENT APPROVES 55 MILLION NAIRA HOUSING LOAN FOR CIVIL SERVANTS
Ekiti State Governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi has approved the release of the sum of 55 million naira as Housing and Land loans for the month of January for Civil Servants in the State.
A statement signed by the Permanent Secretary of the Office of Establishment and Training and Chairman, Housing loan Board, Mr Olusesan Alabi noted that the gesture, which is in line with the commitment of the Fayemi led administration to the welfare of the workers is meant to commemorate the celebration of the Governor’s 100 days in office.
A total of 450 beneficiaries across the Ministries, Departments and Agencies in the State are to receive sum ranging from 100,000 naira to 500,000 naira depending on Grade levels and purpose.
The fund which is meant for either the purchase of land or instalment payment for building, will be deducted at a certain rate monthly from the workers salary over a period of time.
Beneficiaries are advised to make judicious of the loan for the purpose it is meant for, to justify the desire of the Governor for Civil Servants to become house owners during his tenure of office.
Further disbursement are expected to be made based on project performance by the current beneficiaries while fresh beneficiaries will also be captured over time.
