The first real steps in delivering on Ekiti Knowledge Zone have now been taken.
A partnership between @MicrosoftNG and ekiti state government has yielded immediate fruition as a grant of $250,000 to develop the Ekiti Knowledge Zone feasibility study and masterplan is approved.
The process for picking a consultant will start in March, and it is hoped the deliverables should be ready by September.
This Grant features on the Global Skilling Initiative. Committing to provide 2,000 resident jobseekers with industry-recognized IT certifications.
It is also worth noting that both MTN and IHS have started laying 1,000km of fibre (combined).
