The Ekiti State Government has announced a new low-interest funding scheme to support content creators, comedians, and other players in the creative industry.
This was disclosed at a meeting held at the Ministry of Arts, Culture and Creative Economy in Ekiti State with industry representatives.
Leading the session, the Commissioner for Arts, Culture and Creative Economy, Rasaki Ojo Bakare, said the initiative will be driven through the Ekiti State Arts Endowment Fund.
Representatives of a content creators and comedians group were present, including Tolu Ayeni, who serves as the group’s administrative lead.
According to Prof. Bakare, the government under Governor Biodun Oyebanji has approved fresh funding to boost the creative sector.
He added that the scheme offers a 7% loan, with a six-month moratorium and a two-year repayment plan to ensure sustainability.
