Fayemi greets Nigerians, Ekitis on Independence anniversary, state creation celebrations
Ekiti State Governor-Elect, Dr Kayode Fayemi has congratulated Nigerians on the occasion of the country’s 58th independence anniversary celebration, calling for greater commitment to the greatness of the country.
Dr Fayemi, in a goodwill message in Ado-Ekiti on Monday, also congratulated Ekiti citizens on the 22nd anniversary of the creation of Ekiti State.
The Governor –elect urged Ekitis both home and abroad to brace up for the task of rebuilding and repositioning the state as a destination of choice for investment as well as agriculture and tourism development.
Dr Fayemi who lamented the erosion of the core Ekiti values in the past four years, said the incoming administration, billed for inauguration on October 16th, would work with citizens to reposition the state.
“I congratulate Nigerians on the country’s 58th independence anniversary, and I urge all to remain steadfast in our collective effort to make the country a better place for us all.
“Similarly, I felicitate with Ekitkete on the 22nd anniversary of the state’s creation.
“The task of rebuilding and repositioning the state is a collective effort and through your cooperation, we shall correct the setback experienced in the past four years and set the state back on the path of honour and irreversible development.” The statement added.
