BAOs approach, inclusivity, and more particularly, shared prosperity among Ekiti people. On my way to Afao yesterday this afternoon to observe the empowerment and give away programs of Otunba Emmanuel Fayose (PDP) Junior brother to our former Ekiti Governor his excellency Ayo Fayose, a lot of ironies started to play in my mind.In days of yore When the predecessors of our current Governor his excellency Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji held away a top govt official will not even think of attending an opposition event.
That was simply heretic !It was a period of acrimony, a dark period now it seems with BAO’s approach, inclusivity, and more particularly shared prosperity among Ekiti people Ekiti people really have never been this United in truth A man of peace and genuinely God fearing will always remain so in his approach BAO has created a climate of political peace and Ekiti people are watching. May God not let us take a wrong turn. We must build on this, the traditional politics of acrimony no longer has a place in our progress.
Subtly BAO is redefining the approach to politics /governance.We are the fountain of knowledge. We must deploy our knowledge this time. It is obvious that the political climate in Ekiti has gone up notches for the better.Otunba Fayose’s give away went peacefully well attended too.He did a noble act. It is commendable particularly these days!As per his bid to be governor he has all rights…. my older brother Prof, once told me Aficonene there are two things you should be careful with discouraging a prince/ friend not to be king, and kicking against your friends choice of a wife to be.
It’s always strategic to be cautious and measured particularly with friends and brothers that have ambitions.Oselu is simply addictive I have had a personal experience with my late blood brother senator Gbenga Aluko .When I told him that his chances were slim to be governor he took serious offense. When I told him that Fayemi will eventually come out he ventilated that I was not reading the political climate right and that Fayemi will not throw his hat into the ring I told him if I was Fayemi defeated 16 zero at the polls I must revenge and exorcise that ghost of defeat which JKF had to do…..the rest is history ……We as Ekiti people should cherish these times . Some of us know no man is perfect . BAO is not perfect . But if the truth must be told. Plus or minus BAO has raised the bar of governance and he should be given enough support to solidify that foundation!…so after the AFAO empowerment I sat with my dear Aburo Otunba Fayose once again to engage . …. Aficonene!
