The Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE) congregation electoral committee successfully conducted elections on November 13, 2024, with 782 accredited voters out of 1,415 congregation members participating.
Here are the winners:- *Representative on the Governing Council (Academic Staff)*: Prof. Patrick O. Oladele ( 3 contestants) – *Representative on the Governing Council (Non-Teaching Staff)*: Mr. Olusola O. Taiwo ( 3 contestants) – *Representative on Ceremonies Committee (Non-Teaching)*: Mrs. Racheal A. Ajayi (unopposed)- *Representative on Budget Monitoring Committee*: Mr. Ajayi Ambali (unopposed)- *Representative on Security Committee (Academic Staff)*: Prof. Ayodele Fajinmi (unopposed)- *Representative on Security Committee (Non-Teaching Staff)*: Mr. Kayode C. Obajaja (unopposed)- *Representative on Staff School Management Board*: Mr. Ayodele E. Oke (unopposed)
The election saw a total of 705 used ballot papers and 77 unused ones. The newly elected representatives will play crucial roles in shaping the university’s governance, ceremonies, budget monitoring, security, and staff school management.
As FUOYE continues to grow, these elected representatives will contribute to the university’s development, building on its academic excellence and research initiatives.
