My name is Foluke Akosile, I am from Ekiti State in Nigeria. I studied Chemical Engineering as first degree and also at masters level. I run House of Lawof a female fashion brand, we clothe ladies, we blog about female fashion, we coach aspiring female fashionpreneurs, we also empower female undergraduates that are willing to become fashionpreneurs.
I started my business some years ago as an undergraduate of University of Benin (UNIBEN), we traded in imported clothes, shoes and bags at first.
In the year 2016 we started our made in Nigeria clothing line named Foluke by House Of Lawof and also started empowering young female undergraduates that want to start their female fashion business but lack start up capital under the scheme House Of Lawof Female Undergraduates Fashionpreneurial Scheme (HOLFUFS). We have recorded success stories on the scheme.
In the year 2018 we started House Of Lawof essay competition to encourage our undergraduates and we also delved into fabric business by starting our Adire/kampala line called Adire Republic to promote our Nigerian fabrics and we also started selling fabrics used to sew ready to wear clothings.
