

He was born into Niger-Delta royalty. Then he was brought up at home by Emma Johnson a Kentucky born African American governess, getting an early taste of the far-flung African diaspora. Then again, shipped off to an English boarding school to learn Victorian manners. Things couldn’t have been more global, in the 1880s.
His poor little head must have reeled quite a bit! Can’t help but wonder how he would have eventually turned out.
