
Lawmaker refuses to distribute constituency project motorcycles to beneficiaries
Mr. Yele Omogunwa, a Nigeria Senator from Ondo state has refused to distribute motorcycles purchased as constituency project after losing elections.
Tracka a civic organisation working to ensure quality delivery of government projects implementation exposed the motorcycles that have since been purchased and kept in a police station.
Tracka senior official informed that N30 million was allocated to the project.
It is learned that the motorcycles that have since been purchased and supplied are meant for youth empowerment in Ondo South Senatorial District.
Although supplied since 2018 and kept in Irele Police station, the Senator has refused to distributed them to intended beneficiaries.
Mr. Oludaisi Omokungbe, confirming the development say “the Senator promised to distribute the motorcycles after his reelection but unfortunately, he lost the election to People Democratic Party”.
He said they are yet to know his next line of action concerning the motorcycles.
Yele Omogunwa remains unavailable for official response.
