The Executive Secretary of the National Agricultural Development Fund, Mohammed Ibrahim, has congratulated the Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, @SenatorAKyari, on his election as Chairman of the 49th Governing Council of the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD).
Ibrahim described the election as a strong endorsement of Nigeria’s rising leadership in global agricultural and rural development discourse, noting that it aligns with the Federal Government’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which places food and nutrition security at the heart of national development efforts.
He expressed confidence that the Minister’s stewardship at IFAD would amplify conversations around youth inclusion, innovation and sustainable agricultural financing, while supporting Nigeria’s ongoing drive to strengthen food systems, improve rural livelihoods and deliver lasting food and nutrition security for the country.
