Management staff of the National Agricultural Development Fund met on Monday for a Strategy Review Retreat, convened to sharpen delivery of its Madate. The session drew senior leadership into a focused consult on priorities, pace and what must change as operating conditions tighten.

Deliberations returned to the 2024 ambition, tested against new pressures and expectations. The management and the NADF’s consulting partner
examined how shifts in the economy and technology are affecting programme delivery, and where the Fund must adjust.

Opening the retreat, the Executive Secretary, Mohammed Ibrahim, set a direct tone. He called the gathering “a defining moment” and urged leaders to “think with clarity, engage with honesty, and commit to action.” He warned that “standing still is not an option,” noting that stakeholders now demand “measurable impact,” not activity. Strategy, he said, must end in “clear priorities, defined responsibilities, and measurable outcomes,” anchored on “alignment in vision, priorities, and accountability.”

The engagement settled on tighter coordination and disciplined follow-through, with outcomes expected to support national food security goals under the Renewed Hope Agenda.
