The DOS unit of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has warned that it will revenge the killing of its ‘unarmed’ Coordinator in Osumenyi, Nnewi South Local Government Area of Anambra State.
It called the attention of the state Governor, Prof Charles Soludo to the issue.While calling the attention of Governor Chukwuma Soludo, IPOB fingered the state-owned Anambra Vigilante Group, (AVG) as the culprit, saying: “This fearless hero committed no crime whatsoever.”
For murdering an innocent unarmed IPOB member, the AVG has murdered sleep in Anambra. Those responsible for this dastardly act must be fished out and prosecuted for murder, failing which the consequences will be a grave one.”The statement reads in part: “The DOS received the news about the murder of this young and unarmed IPOB coordinator with a heavy heart. The late Mazi Emeka Akubuo was the Osumenyi Nnewi south Zone 2 Coordinator until he was murdered.
This innocent Biafran was murdered on 31/8/2024 by a soulless and notorious Anambra Ebube Agu group called AVG. What was the crime of Mazi Akubuo that warranted his murder? His only crime is being a member of a non-violent freedom movement fighting for the freedom of Biafrans, including the freedom of those in the AVG.”
IPOB members are peaceful and unarmed civilians contributing their hard-earned money for Biafra freedom and for the safety of all Biafrans. Instead of joining hands with IPOB to protect Biafra land from criminals and terrorists, the saboteur group called Anamabra Vigilantee Group (AVG) have turned their guns against the indigenous people. They will surely pay for their treachery and sins.
The Anambra State Governor, Prof Chukwuma Charles Soludo must fish out the terrorists within the ranks of AVG who murdered the IPOB Coordinator, Mazi Emeka Akabuo in cold blood or IPOB will consider the AVG as an enemy of IPOB and Biafra freedom. IPOB members are unarmed civilians who are peacefully pursuing the restoration of Biafra and are being persecuted by the Nigerian government.
IPOB has never considered any vigilantee group in Alaigbo, including AVG, as enemy. But for all intent and purpose, AVG has considered themselves as part of the Nigerian Security Forces that plans to obliterate the IPOB movement. We shall treat them as an enemy of IPOB and the Biafra struggle.”For murdering an innocent Igbo man and unarmed IPOB Coordinator, AVG is now an enemy of IPOB worldwide.
IPOB will surely avenge the unwarranted and unprovoked murder of Mazi Akabuo by the AVG. Going forward, any attack against an IPOB member from any Biafran or group of Biafrans shall be avenged. We cannot be working to set our people free while some people are killing their saviours to please our collective enemies. Biafrans must hold this Igbo saying dear at this critical time, IGWE BU IKE.”
