2019: Forget the Past, Work for Buhari, Others, Osinkolu Begs Aggrieved APC Members
A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress in Ekiti State, Dr Olusegun Osinkolu, has appealed to members of the party to forget the past and work for the victory of President Muhammadu Buhari in the 2019 presidential election.
In the same vein, Osinkolu also appealed to the aggrieved members if the party to embrace the ongoing reconciliation moves of the party and work for the victory of the senatorial, house of representatives and house of assembly candidates in the elections
He spoke at a gets together party he organised for the members of the party from the 56 wards from Ekiti North senatorial district to mark the Christmas and new year’s festivities.
Notable party members at the event held in Ayede ekiti in Oye local government area of Ekiti State were senatorial candidate of the party in Ekiti North, Senator Olubunmi Adetumbi, former State Deputy chairman of the party, Mrs kemi olaleye, ex-state publicity secretary, Hon Taiwo Olatunbosun, all the 2019 candidates for the House of representatives and house of assembly from the district.
He contended that four years was too short a period to analyse and rate the capacity of President Buhari to deliver democratic dividends to Nigerians.
He said giving him the second term opportunity would afford the president to consolidate the dividends of democracy to Nigerians.
He also dispelled the insinuation being peddled by the PDP that President Buhari had failed Nigerians, describing this as a bunch of lies .
Osinkolu said he has put the crisis caused by alleged manipulation of the senatorial primary behind him in the interest of the party.
He urged all his supporters across the 56 wards from Ekiti North to work for the party, saying division. Will only weaken the party and reduce its strength ahead of the forthcoming election.
Osinkolu said he would never betray APC or do anything that could create crisis for Governor Kayode Fayemi.
He said the gets together was part of his contributions in helping the government live up to expectation and make the people happy in this festive period.
Also speaking at the event, former state publicity secretary, Hon Taiwo Olatunbosun praised Osinkolu for his steadfastness and loyalty to the party, urging other members to emulate the gesture
Senator Adetumbi described Osinkolu as a good party man, saying the two of them have decided to work together to strengthen the party more in Ekiti north.
