The Director-General, Ekiti State Micro-finance and Enterprise Development Agency (MEDA), Otunba Kayode Fasae has distributed 110 free Joint Admission & Matriculation Board (JAMB) examination forms to admission-seeking students in Ise/Orun Local Government Area of Ekiti State.
The process of collating successful applicants for the philanthropic gesture by Otunba kayode Fasae was in full swing at Ise-Ekiti as a multitude of young adults and their parents assembled to submit duly completed forms this Saturday 1st February 2020.
While addressing the beneficiaries of the kind gesture, Otunba Fasae said that the exercise is aimed at supporting the Governor Kayode Fayemi led administration’s effort of ensuring youths are enrolled in tertiary education to attain academic excellence.
Otunba Fasae admonished the youths to embrace the opportunity given to them, saying that Ekiti State Government is on course to ensuring a viable academic environment to the benefit of teeming youths in the State.
“Education is a key factor to success for any youth in this day and age, hence the need for us to work on a solid foundation. It is therefore important to also support the efforts of Ekiti State Government, led by Dr. Kayode Fayemi in developing our youths through education, empowerment, and skills development. In this regard, I will be sponsoring the cost of 110 JAMB forms to successful applicants,” he said.
The DG also announced that the best 3 performing applicants during the exams will receive full university education funding.
“By the special grace of God Almighty, I am going to sponsor the university education of the best three students among the 110 beneficiaries. I wish every one of you the very best in all your endeavours,” he ended.
Also speaking, the Programme Coordinator, Hon. Oluwatuyi Rufus Adewale narrated the process of selection, saying that forms were distributed to youths across the LGA to select qualified candidates.
“The selection process was credible and transparent. We ensured that only qualified applicants were selected for the forms and we thank God for a successful outing in the end,” he said.
