Earlier today, Peter Obi, a man who, as Anambra Governor, bought 400 expensive SUVs for Anambra Igwes (I was shocked because I never knew Anambra had that many Igwes), criticised President Tinubu’s budgetary and fiscal policies.
Bit in truth, Obi lacks the moral authority to question the 2026 Appropriation Bill as profligate and wasteful.
How can a Peter Obi, who did not build a single nursery, primary, secondary school, or university during his eight wasteful years as Anambra Governor, turn around to criticise the budgetary practices of President Bola Tinubu that have made Nigeria the sixth-largest contributor to global GDP?
Policies that, according to The Economist Magazine, have reduced Nigeria’s inflation rate from a thirty-year high to a near all-time low.
And then Mr Obi talks about “lack of transparency”. This is coming from a man who, rather than build infrastructure in Anambra, in which 77 communities had no school, instead invested Anambra State government funds into a bank in which he had substantial interests, to yield profits that went into his personal pocket?
Nigerians should beware of desperadoes like Peter Obi, who promise transparency but are deeply opaque.
In this photo, you can clearly see him sharing inducements to voters. It begs the question, can a naked man fulfil his promise to give you clothes?
