Senator Abdulaziz Musa Yar’adua has dismissed recent rumours suggesting his defection from the All Progressives Congress (APC), describing the reports as “speculative” and “mischievous.”
In a statement issued on Sunday, the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Army and the Northern Senators Forum reaffirmed his loyalty to the ruling party, urging the media and the public to disregard false headlines circulating in some quarters.
“I wish to categorically reaffirm my unwavering commitment and support for the All Progressives Congress (APC),” Senator Yar’adua said. “It is essential to clarify that not all individuals bearing the Yar’adua name are politically affiliated with me.”
He accused certain media outlets of mischief and distortion, stating that he remains fully aligned with the leadership of the Senate and the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Highlighting the administration’s achievements, Yar’adua praised ongoing reforms under President Tinubu, particularly increased allocations to states and local governments, improved funding for infrastructure, and mass recruitment into security agencies.
“As political leaders, we must join hands with Mr. President to make this administration succeed and ensure the common man feels the impact of these reforms,” he said.
Senator Yar’adua emphasized his continued dedication to the APC and pledged to work with leaders at all levels to promote unity, progress, and prosperity across the country.
