Sensitization of Desk Officers for Effective Implementation of SDG Ekiti State.
The Executive Governor of Ekiti State, Dr Kayode Fayemi has been described as one who places a premium on training and capacity building of all the civil and public servants in the State.

The Commissioner for Information, Tourism and Values Orientation, Aare Muyiwa Olumilua, stated this while addressing participants at a One-Day Seminar/Workshop organized by the Ekiti State office of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and anchored by the SSA to the Governor on SDGs, Mrs Bola Solanke for Local and State desk officers across the State.

Aare Olumilua who revealed that Governor Fayemi in his wisdom, centered the five pillars of this administration around the 17 Sustainable Development Goals, said that this will allow a seamless realization of the said goals, whilst achieving a better and more sustainable future for all.

In his charge to the participants, the Commissioner said they remain critical stakeholders in the attainment of the set objectives, as they are the ones who would interface with the people at the grass roots.

Olumilua, while explaining how seriously the Fayemi led government takes capacity building, said, in a dynamic world like this, the role of continuous training can not be over emphasized.
He urged them to take advantage of this type of training, by equipping themselves with the requisite knowledge and tools, that will aid quality service delivery.
Olumilua also used the opportunity to remind the attendees that it was high time we all returned to the days when high premium was placed on societal values. He specifically urged people to pay more attention to time and punctuality, saying, seemingly insignificant things like these count, especially now that the Fayemi led administration is working on restoring our values.
Also present at the opening ceremony were the representatives of the Chief of Staff, the Head of Service, and the Chairman of the Local Government Service Commission. The SSA to the Governor on Rural Development, Hon. Ade Omonijo, was in attendance as well.
