
President Bola Tinubu recorded strong support across several states to emerge victorious in the 2027 presidential primaries of the All Progressives Congress, polling close to 11 million votes nationwide.
Lagos delivered the highest number of votes with 814,988, followed by Adamawa with 644,149 and Kaduna with 618,914 votes. Imo and Kano completed the top five with 582,960 and 500,852 votes respectively.
Other states with significant returns included Katsina (467,003), Gombe (450,517), Borno (414,988), Delta (407,646) and Akwa Ibom (389,197).
Enugu recorded 383,382 votes, while Benue posted 374,787. Plateau followed with 241,720 votes, ahead of Bayelsa’s 227,192 and Ebonyi’s 207,579.
Jigawa delivered 206,520 votes, Kogi 197,370, Taraba 183,698 and Ondo 181,996. Niger State recorded 175,487 votes, while Abia and Bauchi posted 161,005 and 156,541 respectively.
In the South-West, Ogun contributed 322,485 votes, Oyo returned 142,754, Osun recorded 100,888 and Ekiti delivered 85,340 votes.
North-West states also posted notable figures, with Zamfara recording 321,579 votes, Kwara 310,990, Sokoto 301,000 and Kebbi 292,972. Nasarawa contributed 285,436 votes, Rivers recorded 280,082, while Yobe returned 253,804 votes.
Cross River posted 113,911 votes, Edo delivered 121,098, while Anambra recorded 43,034 votes. The Federal Capital Territory accounted for 36,103 votes.
