UK-BASED NIGERIAN CRIES OUT OVER ALLEGED FAKE MARRIAGE FOR VISA. A case at the FCT High Court, Abuja, has revealed how a travel agent, Mr. Waliyu Aderibigbe Shitta, allegedly added a woman, Miss Dolapo Afusat Yusuf, as the wife of Mr. Emmanuel Opeyemi Makinde, a UK-based Nigerian, without his knowledge or consent, to secure a UK visa.
Police told the court the complainant only discovered this when his real wife’s visa was refused because UK records showed he was already married.
The accused has pleaded not guilty, and the case is ongoing.
