Another girl, Mary Daramola, has been raped to death in Akinyele Local Government Area of Oyo State, Prompt News Online is reporting.
Daramola was said to have been raped and killed in Alabata Community, near Moniya.
Quoting a report monitored on Amuludun FM, a radio station located in Moniya, Prompt News said the dastardly act was carried out nu one Toheeb Ako on Monday.
The Balogun of Alabata, Chief Rasaq Ajimoti, said a passerby, who noticed Ako and some others trying to dump the corpse of Daramola in a nearby bush, raised the alarm that led to the arrest of the suspect, who was taken to Moniya Police Station.
Daramola’s guardian, Folakemi Adedeji, expressed sadness over the horrible incident.
Adedeji called for justice to serve as deterrent to rapists in the state.
Prompt News said the suspect has been moved to the Oyo State Police Command Criminal Investigation Department, Iyaganku for further investigation.
