The invitation sent to members ahead of the All Progressives Congress National Executive Committee meeting scheduled for March 11 has confirmed Western Post’s earlier story that Osun State Governor, Gboyega Oyetola resigned from the Caretaker/Extra-ordinary Convention Planning Committee.
The invitation which was sent to members of the NEC, had Oyetola’s name conspicuously missing from the members of the CECPC who signed the letter.
The invitation was signed by Acting Chairman of the CECPC and Governor of Niger State, Abubakar Sani Bello, who is the North Central representative; former Senate President, Ken Nnamani, the South East representative and Senator Abubakar Yusuf, the senate representative.
Others who signed the invitation are: Mrs Stella Okotete, women’s representative; James Lulu, people living with disabilities representative and Chief David Lyon, South South representative.
Senator Abba Alli, North West representative; Prof. Tahir Mamman, North East representative and Barr. Ismail Ahmed, youth representative also signed the invitation.
Conspicuously missing were the signatures of erstwhile chairman and Yobe Governor, Mai Mala Buni and the secretary, Senator James AkpanUdoedehe, former confirming their removal from the CECPC.
