The Federal Government said it will remove the 7.5 percent Value Added Tax imposed on diesel, while also agreeing to pay all Federal workers N25,000 monthly for the next six months. Diesel used to power generators now sells for over N1,000 a litre. Government also agreed to pay 15 million households N25,000 a month for the next three months. Late Greatness Olorunfemi THE Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC) and the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) have commenced investigations into the death of Greatness Olorunfemi, attacked by a ‘one chance’ gang in Abuja. The health condition of the Minister of Tourism, Lola Ade-John, is shrouded in uncertainty. Some reports had claimed that the minister was hospitalised at the Federal Medical Centre, Jabi, Abuja after experiencing acute poisoning. All the thirty-six state governors in Nigeria have been dragged to court over their failure to render accounts of the N72 billion so far released to them by the Federal Government to cushion the effects of fuel subsidy removal in the country.
