The President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Amaju Pinnick has been elected into the FIFA Executive Council. Pinnick, 50, was elected as a member of the FIFA Council during the 43rd CAF Ordinary General Assembly which was held in Rabat, the Moroccan capital on Friday. He beat Walter Nyamilandu of Malawi to the position. He is the third Nigerian to be elected into the FIFA council. The Ekiti State Police Commissioner, Mr Babatunde Mobayo, has disclosed that Ekiti residents can report him to higher police authorities if he was seen not be handling cases involving herdsmen infringements on rights of the locals properly. The Anambra State Police Command has declared wanted a staff of the Local Government Service Commission in Anambra State, Sabina Izuora. The Supreme Court has upheld the 10-year imprisonment imposed on former Plateau Governor, Joshua Dariye upon his conviction on the offence of criminal breach of trust. A five-man panel of the court, led by Justice Mary Odili, in a unanimous judgment on Friday, upheld Daruiye’s appeal in part, by quashing the one-year sentence imposed on him by the Court of Appeal in relation to the offence of criminal misappropriation.
