Commanders of various bandits groups operating across Niger state have held a meeting to deliberate on how to hold peace dialogue with the state government. The Ogun State Police Command has arrested a family of seven, the Okparas, over their alleged involvement in the kidnapping of no fewer than eight persons for ransom. The State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, who paraded the suspects: Oweniwe Okpara, the father; six of his family members namely: Samson, Bright, Eze, Godwin, Godspower, and Matthew, said they were arrested in two separate raids in Ogun and Delta States.
