A support group that has been most active in the politics of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, BAT MOVEMEMT , founded by one of the most formidable supporters 0f Tinubu for ages, Otunba Biodun ajiboye, has been adopted by the Lagos caucus as the Support Group to work on a National scale for the eventual declaration of presidential Ambition by Bola Tinubu the National Leader of APC.
Coming together in ibadan at the prompt of BAT foundation, the speakers from all southwestern states both current and former in a 5 hour closed door meeting unanimously adopted Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Speaking at the event was, the speaker of Lagos Assembly who is equally the chairman Board of Trustees of BAT MOVEMENT, said he is humbly asking for the support of the movement to support the politics and aspirations of Tinubu’. “though Tinubu has not given the go-ahead to kickstart any interest in the presidency but that there is the need for a formidable group like BAT Movement to start working on national scale on this all important project on behalf of Tinubu.”
Obasa, therefore, charged all the leaders of BAT Movement at the meeting to work with other members of the movement as the group has been adopted by the Lagos Caucus as Support Group.
The speaker also charged the House of Assembly speakers, both current and former present at the meeting to go back to their respective states to set up the template that would see to the actualisation of the agenda of an Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu presidency in 2023.
In his response, the national coordinator BAT Movement, Ambassador Aliyu Saulawa said on behalf of the members of BAT Movement “we are happy for this adoption by the Lagos Caucus and we promised to work effectively for the emergencce of Ashiwaju as the next president of Nigeria in 2023, presently we are here to drum supports for Ashiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s presidential ambition, charity begins at home, south west is Tinubu’s base and Ashiwaju has impacted many lives in the region, we nust nakesure that power shifts to the southwest and to be clinched by Tinubu.” He explained.
Amb. Saulawa who led The BAT Movement team to emerge victorious at the south west meeting with his powerful speech that made all the participants overwhelmed lauded Tinubu’s option of embracing principle by supporting President Mohammadu Buhari rather than former Vice President Atiku Abubakar who would have done anything for Tinubu, to win his support.
