The Osun Patriots have received with shock the unparliamentarian response of the Osun speaker, Timothy Owoeye on the marginalization of the opposition members of the state house of assembly.
According to a statement signed by its chairman, Adeyinka Babajide in Osogbo on Wednesday, said, the Speaker through his aide has confirmed he is an APC speaker rather than the Assembly Speaker.
Babajide said ” why will a leader descend so low to name calling and unnecessary banters, when he is called to right his wrong.”
The group also asked the speaker to tell the world how the Governor have treated the lawmakers under him and how many of their bills he has assented.
“The all important bill on School of health is lying there without the Governor’ consent, a bill to benefit the people of the state and Owoeye’s primary constituency”
The group therefore call on the general public to appeal to the Speaker to “put off his garment of opposition and act more like a leader that fate has bestowed on him”.
