Count down to Ekiti PDP State Congress -Karounwi Oladapo’s Perspective.
Karounwi sees Ekiti PDP state Chairmanship going to the old Ekiti West local Government that warehoused both Efon and Aramoko Ekiti !
By looking for the best, by Popular votes, by grassroots supports, by free and fair PDP State Congress, Bisi Kolawole of Efon will make it.
By authorities backing, (Abuja and Ekiti PDP outgoing State Exco), by affirmation, by Ekiti anti Fayose PDP Leaders, Kehinde Odebunmi of Aramoko will get it.
Either way, the emergence of any of the two above will cause some political alignment and realignment ahead of Ekiti 2022 Governorship elections.
With Bisi Kolawole as State Chairman, some PDP will defect to the APC. And those in the APC who are looking in the direction of PDP ahead of Ekiti 2022 will stay back in APC.
Don’t ask me why?
With Kehinde Odebunmi as State Chairman, some PDP will defect to APC and a few APC members, particularly the 2022 Gubernatorial hopefuls and their supporters, who already knew they don’t have a hope in APC, will move to the PDP.
I have written earlier that the next PDP Gubernatorial Candidate will be an APC member from the North Senatorial District, who will defect to PDP ahead of 2022 and I have not changed that position!
Oh, somebody is talking about Zoning or Power Rotation? Ekiti voting patterns and trajectory make this factor almost a non issue! The Senatorial district that presents the best candidate in the opinion of the Ekiti electorates will produce the next Ekiti Governor!
The third force in the PDP State Chairmanship Contest is Tope Aluko, TKO.
Tope Aluko of Irepodun /Ifelodun will surely put up a strong fight for the Chairmanship seat. Only a political neophyte will underestimate Tope Aluko’s capacity to create a political upset!
Ekiti PDP will never remain the same after the State Congress. There is bound to be POLITICAL IMPLOSION
Like i wrote earlier, Except the two warring PDP leaders ; a former Governor and a Sitting Senator, can prove me wrong by Producing a Consensus State Party Chairman!
