
Ekiti State Government is set to commence teaching for primary school pupils via the radio tagged “School-On-Air”.
The programme, which is designed to compensate pupils for time lost due to Mr Governor’s Executive Order closing all schools to curtail the spread of the deadly COVID-19 virus in the state, will be handled by experienced educators under the supervision of the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) and it is expected to start on Monday 30th, March 2020 on Ekiti FM 91.5, Ado Ekiti.
A statement by the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), said the programme will run on radio for 30 minutes from Monday to Friday with focus on one of five key subject areas each day namely English Language, Mathematics, Basic Science, Civic Education and Yoruba Language.
The statement further urged parents and guardians to allow their wards take advantage of this opportunity and ensure they benefit from the programme.
