The ongoing lockdown occasioned by the coronavirus pandemic has brought out different hidden parts of several people.
One of such people is Revd. David B. Kayode, J.P, a New York, United States of America-based cleric, counselor and politician.
In the midst of the lockdown, Revd. Kayode rediscovered his talent as a gifted artist.
While in Lagos, Nigeria, in the early 1970s, he had been a wood carver but when he came to the US, the gift was relegated to the background.
When the coronavirus pandemic otherwise called COVID-19 forced governments across the world to order lockdowns, Kayode returned to his mallette and chisel, got wood, set up a studio in his backyard and started producing beautifully finished carvings.
An Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor, Revd. Kayode is excited with what the lockdown has helped him to achieve and is already planning an exhibition of his works whenever normalcy returns and the lockdown is relaxed.
