
The wife of Governor Biodun Oyebanji of Ekiti State, Dr Olayemi Oyebanji, has recounted the moment she taught 300-level students of the Department of Education Management of the state university which she described as part of her community development services as the First Lady of the state. Dr Oyebanji holds a PhD in Education Management and was a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Education Management, University of Ibadan, for some years before her husband was elected as the Ekiti State Governor in October, 2022.


Mrs Oyebanji who called it her community service to the people is presently teaching the 300 level students of the Department of Educational Management of the institution.
Before her current tour of duty as wife of Governor Abiodun Oyebanji, the first lady was a senior lecturer at the faculty of education, University of Ibadan
She wrote on Facebook, “I taught the 300 Level students of the department of Educational Management at Ekiti State University (EKSU), in continuation of my teaching engagements with them ( as a visiting lecturer) and also as part of my community services during my tenure as the First Lady of Ekiti State
“The topic covered in today’s lecture was ‘Leadership Styles in Organization.’ Before delving into the details of the topic, I discussed the Implications of Leadership Theories for School Management, which I had previously covered in my last lecture with the students.
“It was an engaging and interactive session, and I was pleased to share knowledge with the students. Their questions and contributions added depth to our discussion.
“I also appreciate the acknowledgement of my teaching effort by a team of accreditation panel from the National Universities Commission (NUC) led by Prof., Baba Alfa, who were on ground for an accreditation excersice for Science Education programme in the faculty of education.”
