
Speaking on behalf of the State Governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi at the funeral service of Dr Ladele at the St Luke’s Anglican Church, Ile Abiye, Ado-Ekiti, the Head of Service Mrs Olapeju Babafemi commended the patriotic spirit of the deceased which saw him jettison juicy appointment overseas to serve his people in Ekiti.
She described him as humane, diligent, courageous and selfless man who was always eager to help everyone who came across him, particularly as a medical practitioner.
The Head of Service, who arrived the venue of the funeral with incumbent and retired Permanent Secretaries to accord the departed, a last respect, noted that there was no reason to mourn the deceased as he lived a fruitful and impactful life, leaving behind enviable legacies.
Earlier in his sermon, ‘After Death, what next?’ Rev. Oluwafemi Ademiluyi charged participants at the ceremony to imbibe impeccable characters and prepare for the life, hereafter.
He eulogised the deceased for committing his life, time and resources to the service of God and humanity till he breathed his last.
The late Dr. Adediran Ladele was a foremost physician and astute administrator who worked in many hospitals both at old Ondo State and Ekiti State till he was appointed as Permanent Secretary, retiring from active service in 2006.
